My name is Sian Pearson. I began teaching at Rolling Hills Preschool in 2018. I have been working with children since 2001 and have been a kindergarten teacher since 2008. I have worked in a variety of sessional kindergartens in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. I love working with children and their families and seeing the amazing learning that occurs during the kindergarten years. I hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood Teach and a Bachelor of speech and hearing Science. I have a strong focus on social and language development and the development of pre-literacy skills.
When I'm not working I'm at home with my two children Ella and Finley, my husband and our crazy Labrador.
Sarah officially joined Rolling Hills Preschool in 2018 however she knows the kinder well through her time as a student teacher in 2017 and when she attended four-year-old kinder as a child.
She loves spending time with her friends and family, reading, camping and visiting the beach. She can't wait for a wonderful year with the children - full of new discoveries, lots of learning and lots of fun!
Co-educator & Sprouts Coordinator
2019 marks Julie's ninth year with Rolling Hills Preschool and sees her continuing to assist our educators in running the three and four-year-old programs. She holds a Diploma of Community Services in Child Care and recently obtained a training certificate to facilitate Mother Goose programs. This program nurtures and strengthens attachment and interaction between parents or carers and their young children through the joy and power that comes from using rhymes, songs and stories together.
Julie also does an excellent job running our Sprouts Toddler Group that is for children aged two years and over, during which their parent or carer stays and enjoys a special time interacting with their child in a range of activities. This can help ease the child's transition into kindergarten. She is a loving wife to her husband and mother to three beautiful girls.
Meg holds a Certificate IV in Disability Services and has been a part of the Rolling Hills Preschool team for seven years. She supports both the three and four-year-old preschool programs and the children within them. She is passionate about supporting and nurturing children with special needs and we value her skills and experience in our kinder family. She is married with three wonderful children.
